independent filmmaker, musician and producer kaz supernova, is a veteran of the music scene in worcester, ma. as one of the pioneering hip-hop artists in the city, his passion led him to embark on the ambitious project of crafting the feature-length documentary titled "wortown rising." over the span of 8 years, kaz dedicated himself to curating, restoring, filming, and editing the film. serving as the musical director, he also personally composed a significant portion of the original score. the ultimate objective behind "wortown rising" is to make worcester's rich hip-hop history accessible on streaming services, allowing it to be shared with a global audience.
